I’ve been going to Evergreen prior to them opening this location. I have tried other providers as I switched to an insurance plan that Evergreen didn’t accept. The care from my PCP - Dr J. Pamer, and the rest of the team (front desk, assistants, and all the nursing staff) have all been exceptional and are always very helpful during critical care moments or last minute appointments. So much so that I returned to them even with the insurance that wasn’t compatible. Yes, I had a billing question from time to time but the team took care of me each time (either by explaining or by re-coding it.) Their communication is efficient and after switching to MyChart I get updates and reminders that are clear and easy to understand. I’m happy that my insurance now covers me at Evergreen but even if it didn’t I will continue to go to this office and see my PCP because the team there is so good.

Walked in and asked if someone would be willing to check my blood pressure. Abnormal tightness upper left side, clammy hands, light headed. Was turned away since I wasn't an establish patient and was encouraged to go to the fire department and not to use a home BP device due to inaccuracies. Front desk didn't even say anything about open appointment availability or give the option of filling out new patient paperwork to be seen. 0 concern or consideration. Is it best practices to turn people away in these circumstances? Why would you tell someone to go to the fire department when at a medical facility? A simple BP takes less than 5 minutes. Abysmal.

I went to Evergreen Primary Care for my annual wellness exam, which by law and under my insurance should be a no-cost preventive service. Instead, I was incorrectly billed $304 as a β€œspecialist visit.” When I raised this with billing, I was told this was the specialist visit. Looking at other reviews, it seems I am not the only patient who has experienced this issue. This raises serious concerns about their billing ethics and transparency. Patients deserve accurate billing and honest communication. I urge management to review and correct this practice immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend Evergreen Primary Care to anyone seeking straightforward preventive care.

Rude front desk - one person removed the notes of extra conditions and then another receptionist asked to be added. The guy then started making stuff and asked me if that is what it was in notes before. They charge extra for any conditions discussed in addition to wellness exam. I have never seen that in 15 years of experience of getting health exams done in New York/ NJ. Awful experience coming here.

Billed me $600 for an annual wellness exam. The first time I came here last year, they billed an annual exam as an office visit, so that ended up costing me out of pocket. I thought it was my fault not specifying what type of visit I’m seeking, and Dr Palmer was nice, so I didnt dispute. This time around though I made sure to specify it’s an annual exam but again they’ve billed for even more codes. What a deceiving practice!! Please check BEFORE AND AFTER you come here as to what code they’re charging to your insurance. I’ll try disputing but to be honest, it will be easier to find another primary care
